Steps to replace oil filter:
1. Discharge the old waste lubricating oil. First discharge the waste lubricating oil in the screw air compressor oil cylinder, prepare a container for old lubricating oil, and then open the oil bolt to discharge the waste lubricating oil. When discharging lubricating oil, try to let the lubricating oil drop for a period of time, in order to ensure that the waste lubricating oil discharge is clean. (Lubricating oil will produce a lot of impurities when used. If the discharge is not clean when replaced, it is easy to block the oil circuit, resulting in poor oil supply and wear of structural parts)
2. Remove the oil filter element of the old screw air compressor. Move the old oil container under the filter and remove the old air compressor oil filter element. Be careful not to stain the inside of the machine with waste oil.
3. Install the new screw air compressor oil filter element. Check the oil outlet at the installation location and clean up the dirt and waste oil. Before installation, first set the sealing ring in the oil outlet position, and then slowly screw the new air compressor oil filter element, air compressor oil filter element do not screw too tight, under normal circumstances is to tighten by hand, and then use a wrench to screw 3/4 circle. Pay attention to installing the new air compressor oil filter element, do not use a wrench to twist too hard, otherwise it is easy to damage the sealing ring inside the filter element, resulting in poor sealing effect, can not filter effect!  
4. Fill the oil filter tank with new oil. Finally, pour the new oil into the oil tank and, if necessary, use a funnel to prevent pouring the oil on the outside of the engine. After filling, check the lower part of the engine again for leaks. If there is no leakage, check the oil gauge to see if the oil filter is filled with the top line. We recommend adding the top line. In the process of daily work, we should also check the dipstick regularly, and the oil should be timely supplemented when it is less than the line.

Causes of failures

• Scavenge line too short

Scavenge line does not reach into internal bowl at the base of the separator.

Result: high oil carry over

• Scavenge line too long

End of scavenge line seats against base of bowl forming a seal. No oil, or an insufficient quantity is sucked up by the scavenge line. Compressor manufacturer's gap clearance is normally 1 to 2 mm alternatively, ensure tapered cut to end of scavenge line.

Result: high oil carry over

• Scavenge line blocked with dirt

• Scavenge line filter blocked

Some compressor models are fitted wit a small stainless steel mesh filter at some point in the scavenge line which is to be cleaned on a regular basis. If not cleaned the filter will block resulting in no scavenge action.
