The oil content of the air compressor has a life span, because when it separates the oil and compressed air, the impurities also stay on its filter material and block the filter microhole. Only the excessive resistance increases the power consumption of the air compressor, which is not conducive to energy saving and emission reduction, so when the oil is blocked to a certain pressure, it must be replaced.

Generally, the pressure difference before and after the oil filter is 0.105 ~ 0.140MPa. When it is greater than the specified value, it should be replaced in time. The specific replacement time is 50 ~ 150h for the first use and operation, and it will need to be replaced every 1000 ~ 2000h. If the annual operation time of the air compressor is less than the rated time, the filter element should also be replaced together when changing the oil. When replacing, drain the dirty oil from the oil filter and clean the inside of the filter. When installing the filter element, attention should be paid to checking the sealing ring or gasket in the filter to prevent the by-pass of oil caused by lax sealing and the failure of the filter.

One fault is a ruptured oil and gas separator. It is shown that the oil in the screw air compressor is taken away by compressed air, and the drainage pipe of the pipeline filter has oil, and the oil level of the screw air compressor is reduced, and it is forced to stop for emergency replacement. From the fault point of view, because the oil and gas separator used is dirty, the penetration resistance of compressed air during oil and gas separation is added, and the pressure is increased, finally leading to the rupture of the oil and gas separator.

It is likely that the filter element of the oil and gas separator has failed or been damaged, commonly known as flying oil. It may be necessary to replace the filter element of the oil and gas separator and the seals in relevant positions, such as O-ring and gasket.
