The oil separator in the oil-air separation tank separates the oil from the air, allowing the oil to return to the machine for internal circulation and allowing the air to be discharged for use by the user.

The oil separator is a key part of the rotary air compressor, and its performance will directly affect the effective power, fuel consumption, and stable, clean, and dry output airflow of the compressor. High-quality oil separators, when installed and used correctly, can not only ensure the high quality of compressed air, but also ensure a considerable service life.
 

The separation of air and oil is done in a separate tank. Most oil is separated from compressed air by centrifugal force (as happens in a clothes dryer). The rest of the oil (mostly droplets and oil mist) is separated by a separator element that looks like a large filter. Oily air flows through the separator element. The element separates the oil from the compressed air. The separated oil is collected at the bottom of the separator and removed by a scavenging line. It sucks the collected oil back into the compressor components.
