Product Description

Flow Rates:
Qingdao Futai offers Air Oil Separator Boxes with nominal flow rates ranging from 1 m3/min to 5.5 m3/min (35 to 194 cfm) at an operating pressure of 7 bar (0.7 MPa).

Pressure Drop:
When operating at the nominal flow rate and 7 bar (0.7 MPa) pressure, the pressure drop with a new element is approximately 0.25 bar (25 KPa).

Pressure Resistance:
The housings of Qingdao Futai Air Oil Separator Boxes are designed to withstand operating pressures of up to a maximum of 20 bar (2 MPa) or a maximum of 14 bar (1.4 MPa). The built-in filter elements can handle pressure differences up to 5 bar (0.5 MPa).
Separation Efficiency:
At the nominal flow rate and operating pressure of 7 bar (0.7 MPa), the residual oil content in the compressed air is approximately 1 to 3 mg/m3 (1 to 3 ppm), indicating a high separation efficiency.

 

Service Life:
The service life of the Air Oil Separator Boxes depends on the cleanliness of the oil and the quality of the air filter. With a well-functioning system, it is possible to achieve a service life of several thousand hours. It is important to monitor the rise in flow resistance, which will determine when the boxes need to be replaced.

Fitting Advice:
To install the Qingdao Futai Air Oil Separator Boxes, it is recommended to fit them vertically using a suitable adapter union on the firmly installed filter head (refer to Fig. 1). Qingdao Futai also suggests positioning the installation in a maintenance-friendly manner to facilitate future maintenance tasks.

Maintenance:
When the flow resistance reaches 1 bar (0.1 MPa), it is necessary to replace the air oil separator boxes. The replacement should be done only when the system is depressurized. Using a commercially available belt wrench, the old box can be easily removed, and the new box can be fitted and tightened manually.
